Birdie Break is a mobile app created by parents, for parents, providing access to trusted childcare in your area. The app is an on-demand, pay-per-use service, allowing parents to book anywhere from 2 hours to 2 months in advance. Take the stress out of finding, booking and paying your sitter - the Birdie Sitter app is your trusted, convenient source for experienced childcare.

After completing a quick 5 minute sign-up providing some details about your family, you will be able to input a desired date and time for a ‘Birdie Break.’ The app will then populate all available sitters and present you with sitter profiles which include: a photo, an hourly rate, sitters certifications, an ‘about me’ description, star-rating, parent reviews, and number of completed bookings.  

All Birdie Sitters are pre-screened, undergo interviews with Birdie staff, possess up-to-date CPR/choking training, and provide clean Police Checks with vulnerable sector search. Birdie sitters are loving, trustworthy, reliable, individuals who are passionate about making a difference in families lives. 

We save you time by pre-screening sitters and make it convenient to book them! Take that date night with your spouse, go on an outing with your friends, or enjoy a much-deserved day at the spa.

As an added bonus, ‘All Birdie Sitters do the Dishes!’ (1 sink load of dishes per booking. *If time away from your little’s permit). We love to add extra value for you!

Birdie Break Features:

Book anywhere from 24 hours to 1 month in advance

All sitters are screened by trained Birdie recruitment staff (parent’s or trusted veteran babysitters)

All sitters must have up-to-date CPR/choking training, police background checks with vulnerable sector search, 1 year minimum childcare experience.

Cashless and convenient; pay directly through the app.

Choose your date and time, then view the profiles of all available sitters. Each sitter has a profile which includes: a photo, their hourly rate, a star rating, reviews, an ‘about me’ paragraph, their experience with different age groups, and any extras such as ‘homework’ or ‘house cleaning’ they are willing to do.

Parents have profiles as well which include: number and age of children, an ‘about us’ paragraph, profile photo, and star rating.

Chat and ask questions with your sitter right through the app.
